| An interview with: Leyla Spencer, Global Operations Director From advisers to partners I have worked for SpenglerFox since the company’s early days in May 2003. In fact I have been around since the company started up, investing much of my time and ideas in helping build the brand. This included providing input on the company image, brand visuals, logos – you name it. However, SpenglerFox was not my first foray into human resources consulting. I have worked in this field since 1997; approximately 14 years overall. |
| An interview with: Scott McQuaide, Practice Group Leader Russia/CIS - Consumer & Technology Coming full circle I’ve been in recruitment my whole life in seems. I began my first job in this sector back in 1996, opting to seek work immediately instead of heading off to university like the majority of people I knew. And although it might appear that this was destiny, working in recruitment had not specifically been my intention. |
| An interview with: Peter Kotka, Regional Consultant CEE Despite technologies, interpersonal contact still best measure of managerial talent I've worked in the recruitment industry since 1996. However, I can’t say that I planned to go into the business. It was during my time as a student of political science in Poland that I began work in this field. I had just finished my studies and the job market in my native Finland wasn’t looking so good. |
| An interview with: Agnieszka Piątkowska-Dmitrowska, Consultant, Poland Our greatest advantage is our insight into clients’ needs Perhaps like many people I ended up choosing my current career path by accident. I studied sociology and management at university and had expected that I would rather end up in a consultancy or market research company. |
| An interview with: Michal Vajskebr, Practice Group Lead, Consumer and Principal Consultant, UK Betting on flexibility I came to SpenglerFox with a background in learning development and training programme management. I had worked in this area of HR for roughly seven years, focusing specifically on cross-cultural training and helping expats find their bearings in new positions in foreign countries. I had worked previously in HR in the sales and services fields but had not focused specifically on executive search. Then a moment of change arrived. |
| An interview with: Deepthi Nair, Senior Research Associate, MEA Never a dull moment on this market I have been working with the Grafton Employment Group since 2005. When I first signed on at SpenglerFox’s sister company, Grafton Recruitment, I still had yet to finish my undergrad studies. But there I was; the new data coder and receptionist at the latter company’s Middle East Africa (MEA) offices. Then eight months into the job, I took the bold step of pushing beyond my entry-level position. |
| An interview with: Aslin Boynuinceoglu, Head of Research, Turkey Harnessing technology to push executive search forward I came to SpenglerFox in Turkey approximately seven years ago, after working in a completely different field. I had been working in a UK-based company handling water and waste water services. However, during my time at that company I had the opportunity to work closely with our HR department and that was when I first became aware of SpenglerFox. |
| An interview with: Seyda Unsal, Consultant I have been working with SpenglerFox Since July 2007. I was attracted to work at SpenglerFox because from the very first day I felt familiar with the company since it is global and European. I have always been motivated because the organisation has encouraged me to use my contacts and experiences in an effective manner. I was also attracted by the young and dynamic staff who are always ready for team work. I feel committed and 'inside' one hundred percent. |
| An interview with: Vlada Chistobaeva, Finance Manager I joined SpenglerFox in 2005 and that was my first professional experience. SpenglerFox attracted me because of their small friendly team, and the opportunity for rapid growth and development. I have a degree in International Economics and I work in the role of Finance Administrator focusing mainly on internal management reporting, personal records management, banking and cash operations. |
| An interview with: Kiki Karamanli, Senior Consultant When people ask me my occupation I answer them: "Well I was in marketing for 15 years and now I am doing something totally different – executive search". And of course the question after this is why did I change direction and how easy was it for me to take the decision? |
| An interview with: Anna Błesznowska, Office Manager I have been working with SpenglerFox for almost five years. As Office Manager I am the first point of contact and assistance between the Warsaw office and the outside world. I have been contributing to formulation, establishment, and execution of administrative and financial policies and procedures, concentrating mainly on financial reporting and credit control. |
